New Emergency Care Hospital Block, a Venue of the Winter Universiade 2019, was Commissioned in Krasnoyarsk
On June 18, 2018, a new surgeon block of the Emergency Care Hospital one of the Winter Universiade 2019 venues, was commissioned in Krasnoyarsk. The new 4-storey building has a total area of almost 15,000 sq. m. It was built over 2 years’ time. The modernisation of the hospital became possible due to the upcoming Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019. The reconstruction of the venue took place as a part of the preparation for the Games.
New allotment of tickets for the Winter Universiade 2019 competitions is now available
Ticket sales for Bandy and Ski Orienteering competitions of the Winter Universiade 2019 started on June 18. An extra allotment of tickets was also made available for Biathlon, Short Track Speed Skating, Freestyle Skiing, Alpine Skiing and Snowboard.
56 Countries Applied for Participation in the Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019
56 countries expressed their willingness to compete at the Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019, which will take place in Krasnoyarsk on March 2 - 12, 2019. The total number of national teams willing to take part in the competitions almost hit record high over the history of the Winter Universiades.

On June 8, the Pavilion of the Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019 was opened on Tatyshev Island. The event became a real feast for the Krasnoyarsk residents, as the traditional location opened on the island for the fourth time.
Over 27,500 people are eager to become volunteers of the 29th Winter Universiade Krasnoyarsk 2019
27,612 people have already applied to become volunteers of the Winter Universiade 2019. The Games will be held from 2 to 12 March 2019 in Krasnoyarsk. People from 50 different countries have decided to join the Universiade volunteers’ team.

Representatives of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) visited the Winter Universiade 2019 venues for inspection. As a part of working visit, FISU First Vice-President Leonz Eder, FISU Executive Committee member Fernando Parente, FISU WU Director Milan Augustin and FISU external protocol expert Tatiana Andrushka paid a visit to Platinum Arena Krasnoyarsk. They discussed the protocol issues of the Opening and Closing ceremonies, which will take place at the Platinum Arena Ice Arena.
